Select software not installing due to anti-virus programs

If there are database connection errors during Select installation or login, an anti-virus program may be the cause.

The anti-virus programs McAfee, Panda, ESET NOD32 and possibly others are known to cause problems.

Uninstall the anti-virus program and run the Select installer again.

Uninstaller programs and instructions:
McAfee
Panda
ESET NOD32
List of uninstallers for other antivirus programs

Recommended programs are Sophos, AVG, and Microsoft Security Essentials, which are known to work with OMNI Select.
